Company: Lillian Vernon sold these costumes in their catalogues nationwide between August 1999 and October 2000 for about $40.
Hazard: Fabric used in these costumes can ignite readily and presents a serious risk of burn injuries, in violation of the Federal Flammable Fabrics Act.
Description: The recalled costume model numbers are LV #948P00 and LV #958P00. The Sugar Plum Fairy costume is a dress made of various fabrics including purple nylon tulle. They were sold in youth sizes 4-6 and 6x-8.
Remedy: Consumers should stop wearing these costumes immediately and call Lillian Vernon Corporation's customer service department for information on how to receive a refund. Lillian Vernon Corporation has sent notices to all known purchasers.
